Small convex, much-branched shrub, the branches becoming spiny with branched spines. Stems up to 60 cm. Leaves of nonflowering rosettes obovate-spathulate; those of the flowering branches linear-lanceolate; all silvery-lepidote. Petals white or purplish, gradually narrowing into claw. Silicula 4-6 mm, obovoid, glabrous; style as long as the fruit. Seeds 2 in each loculus, broadly winged. Rocks and screes. E. & S. Spain, S. France. Ga Hs.
