Erect, up to 30 cm, with slender tap-root; stems simple or branched, more or less stellately hairy. Cauline leaves broadly ovate, semi-amplexicaul; basal leaves obovate-cuneate. Inflorescence many-flowered; petals c. 2-5 mm, white. Silicula 3-6 mm, oblong-elliptical, glabrous; pedicels patent, as long as or longer than silicula. 2« = 32. • Throughout most o f Europe from C. Fennoscandia southwards. All except Az BI Fa Is Rs (N) Sa Sb Si; casual in Ho Po Rs (C).
