Caespitose, stemless or sometimes with short stem. Basal leaves rounded-ovate, entire or 3-lobed. Flowers usually solitary, borne on long pedicels in the axils of the basal leaves. Petals lilac or purple, sometimes white, 2-3 times as long as calyx. Silicula obovoid-orbicular; seeds 2-5 in each loculus. 2« = 24. © Portugal. Widely cultivated in gardens and naturalized in parts o f S. Europe. Lu [Ga Hs].
