Basal leaves ovate to orbicular, truncate or cordate at base, usually entire, long petiolate; cauline leaves oblong-ovate to lanceolate, cuneate, more or less sessile; all fleshy. Petals2-4 mm. Siliqua6-20 x 1 - 5-3 mm, linear or oblong, erecto-patent; style 0- 25-0-75 mm. 2n = 42. Arctic Europe. Rs (N) Sb.
The species was originally described from arctic America. It is possible that the plants from Europe should be separated from the plants from America and Greenland, for which the chromosome number 2/7 = 28 has been recorded.
