Caespitose perennial. Lower leaves 1 -7 mm wide, linear to linear-lanceolate, entire to sinuate-dentate. Pedicels 2-4 mm in flower, up to 7 mm in fruit. Sepals (9-) 10-15 mm, saccate at base; petals 15-25 x 5-10 mm. Siliqua 40-90 x 1 -1-5 mm, grey-green; style 0-5-2 mm. • W. part of Balkan peninsula, extending to N.E. Italy and Austria. Al Au?Gr It Ju.
The southern limits of this species are uncertain owing to confusion with 2 and 8.
