Erect perennial 10-40 cm. Leaves 2- to 3-pinnate, green above, glaucous beneath; petiole unwinged. Racemes 6- to 16- flowered, dense. Bracts oblong-lanceolate, entire, much shorter than pedicels. Corolla 12-20 mm, golden yellow, darker at apex; spur 2-4 mm. Fruit c. 10 mm, pendent; style deciduous. Seeds black, shiny. Shady rocks and screes, usually on limestone. • 5. foot-hills of C. & E.
