( D. pseudosquarrosus Novak ):

Laxly caespitose, glaucous. Lower leaves long, acuminate, recurved. Calyx usually 22-30 x 3-4 mm. White Russia and Ukraine.

A local population in subarctic Russia (on the S. coast of the Polustrov Kol’skiy) is intermediate between (a) and (b).
