Annual or perennial 10- 40 cm, more or less pubescent and often glandular. Basal leaves linear, linear-lanceolate or spathulate, usually withered at flowering; upper cauline linear, acuminate. Flowers usually in clusters of 2-3. Epicalyx-scales c. as long as calyx, ovatelanceolate, with a green apex usually about as long as the broad part of the scale. Calyx 10—17(—20) x 2-5-3 mm, usually pubescent, almost cylindrical. Petal-limb 7-10 mm, dentate, bearded. 2« = 30. Balkan peninsula. Al Bu G r Ju Tu.
