Tall glaucous perennial 50-100 cm. Leaves usually 50- 80 x 15-30 mm, ovate, subobtuse. Flowers 11-17, in a large spreading cyme; bracts herbaceous. Sepals 8-12 mm; petals up to twice as long as calyx, ciliate. Capsule 10-15 mm, straight. Seeds c. 1 - 5 mm, acutely tuberculate. N.E. Russia. Rs (N, C).
