More or lesserect, flexuous, up to 40 cm. Leaves 10- 20 mm, fleshy, filiform. Bracts 2-3 mm, ovoid-triquetrous, acute, with broad membranous margin; bracteoles ovate, becoming cartilaginous and keeled, enclosing the fruit. Perianth-segments membranous, with oblong or orbicular-ovate wing. Saltmarshes. S.E. Russia, W. Kazakhstan. Rs (E). (IF. Asia.)
