Glabrous perennial, with procumbent branches up to 30 cm. Leaves oblong-spathulate, petiolate, somewhat fleshy. Flowers axillary, subsessile, 5-merous; anthers pink; seeds black, smooth. Naturalized on maritime sands near Lisboa. [Lu.] (Tropical Africa and America.)
