Like 10 but more robust; stems often branched from the base; leaves 15-20 mm, squarrose, sometimes recurved; fascicles of flowers terminal and axillary, shorter than the bracts; petals rudimentary; stamens 10; seeds 0-6-0- 8 mm, minutely tuberculate. Dry sandy places. C., E. & S. Spain; S. W. Bulgaria; Krym. Bu Hs Rs (K) [Ga].
