Leaves up to 8 cm, lanceolate or linear-lanceolate, acuminate, with spinose apex and with 5-15 more or less parallel veins. Bracts ovate, with spinose apex; cymes c. 1cm, ovoid. Achene 3-6 mm. Mobile sands . S.E. Russia; W. Kazakhstan. Rs (E). (IV. & C. Asia.)
