Annual, erect or diffuse; stem 5-40 cm, sparsely pubescent. Leaves up to 5 cm, ovate-acuminate; petioles of the lower leaves usually equalling or longer than the lamina. Bracteoles shorter than perianth; perianth 2-3 mm in fruit. Achenes brown or olive. S. half of Iberian peninsula. Hs Lu. (TV. IT. Africa.)
