Leaves 8-20 x 2-5 cm wide, arising singly from a slender creeping rhizome, 2-pinnate, ovate to ovate-elongate; petiole equalling or rather longer than lamina; ultimate segments of sterile leaves similar to those of 1, of fertile leaves 2-3 mm wide, linear-lanceolate. Rock-crevices in shady places. N. & C. Ural. Rs (N, C). (A. & C. Asia; N. America.)
