Tall tree with pyramidal crown. Leaves 80-160 x 1-5-20 mm, rigid, pungent; 2-3 rows of hypodermal cells. Cone 5-8 cm; apophysis somewhat keeled. From Austria to C. Italy, Greece and Jugoslavia.
