Dioecious; shrub or tree up to 14 m. Leaves patent, with two glaucous bands above. Cone ripening in the second year, globose to pyriform, reddish, yellowish when unripe. Seeds free, usually 3. S. Europe. Al BI CoGaGrHsItJuLuRs (K) SaSiTu.
