Annual, with slender branching stems. Floating leaves 10-14 x 6-9 mm, with 3-5 lateral veins on each side, papillae 0-2-0- 8 mm; submerged leaves 2-7 cm. Sori up to 3 mm, in groups of 3 to 8; those with megasporangia spherical. 2n = 8,18. C. & S.E.
