Stem subterranean, creeping, with numerous erect ramifying branches. Fertile spikes 0-5-1 cm, ovoid, yellowish, at the end of short branches, with appressed, dentate sporophylls. Açores; naturalized in Portugal (Valongo). Az [Lu?Si]. (Pantropical.)
