Augochlorella persimilis (Viereck, 1910) View in CoL , Taxonomic confusion, Possible
Prairie Green-Sweat Bee
Notes: This species is easily confused with its cryptic sister species A. aurata , which is very common throughout Connecticut and the northeastern US . There are unvalidated records for A. persimilis in Rhode Island (Rothwell & Ginsberg 2019), New Hampshire (University of New Hampshire Collection of Insects and other Arthropods 2023), and Connecticut ( AMNH _ BEE 00185030 ). Until these are rechecked, we regard this species as a doubtful occurrence in New England .
