Notes: This species is best known from agricultural locations around the state (53% of total records), with 39% of total records coming from the glycol cup traps used in the Connecticut Bee Monitoring Program (unpublished, see Introduction). This species is easily recognizable on community science portals (especially the female) and is the 7 th most observed species in Connecticut on iNaturalist (https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?place_id=49& subview=table&taxon_id=630955&view=species) despite difficulties in identifying males .
