Distribution in Nepal: Use in domestic waste vermicomposting (Pandey et al. 2014).

Distribution elsewhere: Africa; Asia: Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam; Oceania ( Sims 1971; Gates 1972; Julka 1978; Blakemore 2012; Nguyen et al. 2016; Narayanan et al. 2023).

Habitat: Cultivated land, non-cultivated land, grassland, garden, forest, sewage ( Tripathi & Bhardwaj 2004a).

Ecology: Anecic ( Tripathi & Bhardwaj 2004c).

Remarks: It is used for vermicomposting but not documented from natural habitats in Nepal. Its natural distribution in Nepal has to be assured and status should be examined.
