Habitat: Soil, roots of potted plants ( Gates 1972); cultivated land (Subedi et al. 2018).

Remark: Octochaetus hodgarti was collected by R.A. Hodgart from Gowchar, Nepal, currently Tribhuvan International Airport area, Kathmandu.
