Type locality: Pharping (27.6128°N, 85.2645°E), Kathmandu District , Bagmati Province, Nepal GoogleMaps

Type specimen: ZSIC; ZEV 2863 /7

Distribution in Nepal: Bagmati Province, Kathmandu District, Pharping ( Michaelsen 1907).

Distribution elsewhere: India ( Mandal et al. 2010).

Habitat: Grassland, riverbanks, cultivated paddy and pulses land, dung heaps mixed-forest cultivated land ( Michaelsen 1907; Miglani et al. 2022).

Ecology: Anecic ( Sinha et al. 2003; Miglani et al. 2022).

Remarks: This species was formerly considered as endemic species for Nepal but later, it was reported from Uttarakhand, India ( Mandal et al. 2010). Species epithet ‘pharpingianus ’ refers to type locality Pharping of Kathmandu District, Nepal.
