Distribution in Nepal: Eastern Nepal ( Julka et al. 2009).
Distribution elsewhere: India ( Michaelsen 1907, 1909; Stephenson 1923; Gates 1972; Julka 1988).
Habitat: Forest ( Julka 2009).
Ecology: Not mentioned.
Remarks: Species epithet named after E. Bergtheil, who collected the type specimens along with D.H. Burkill. It was collected by M. Koirala from eastern Nepal.
