Diagnosis. SIF = 4B-B-3-1110.0000; fPp = B/B/NNB; fCx = 1.1.1(2); fSt = 2.2; fSc: PL> AL> AM; Ip = 663–833; fD = 2H-(10–14)-(10–12)-(10–12)-(9–15)-…; DS = 41–74; VS = 53–72; NDV = 103–140. Standard measurements of specimens from the comparative material ( Russia: Dagestan) are given in Table 31.

Type material (not examined). Holotype of Euschoengastia krampitzi was not designated, syntypes are deposited in ZSM. Type locality is Sicily ( Italy) . Holotype of E. donaldi was not designated, syntypes were deposited in IZUG. Type locality is Noli ( 44° 12' N, 08° 26' E) in Italy ( Liguria) GoogleMaps . Holotype of Schoutedenichia unicolor was not designated, type material is lost. Type locality is Crimea ( Ukraine) .

Comparative material examined. 91 larvae (ZISP) ex Cricetulus migratorius , Chionomys gud , and Apodemus flavicollis , RUSSIA: Dagestan, 6 km E from Khnov, Gdymchay River outfall into Akhtychay River ( 41° 21' 29" N, 47° 31' 36" E), 1600 m a.s.l., 21–23 June 1988, coll. A.B. Shatrov.

Material from Turkey examined. 3 larvae (ZISP) ex Apodemus flavicollis , Çanakkale Prov., 3.8 km SW from Ayvacik , 340 m a.s.l., 12 October 1969, coll. M. Daniel.

Hosts. 17 rodent species ( Kolebinova 1992; Kudryashova 1998).

Distribution. Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Albania, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo, Bulgaria, Moldova, Poland, Ukraine ( Crimea), Turkey, Azerbaijan. Previous records in Turkey: Bornova, KemalpaŞa, Kavaklidere ( Kepka 1966). This species is here recorded from Russia ( Dagestan) for the first time.
