Genus Caelorrhina Hope, 1841
The genus is close to Anisorrhina and Tmesorrhina , sharing some characters with them (see Holm & Marais 1992). According to Holm & Marais (1992) the genus was never revised since Bourgoin (1921), thus modern revision is urgently needed. Most of the species were treated under the genus Eccoptocnemis ( e.g. see Allard 1991). Beinhundner (2017a) recognized eleven valid species, three of them recorded for Angola, one being endemic ( Ferreira 1965). We give two new species records for this country.
