Remarks: For depositories of type series, see account under PNGM types. Paratypes 1698, 2087 (see below), 2820, 2826, 2952-54, and 2 x unregistered specimens not located. Paratypes listed by Menzies as UPNG 2097, 3922 and 3963 were incorrectly cited - these numbers apply respectively to a specimen of Litoria micromembrana , a Nactus and a microhylid. The numbers are presumed to be in error for 2087, 3822 and 3693, which are all Rana from within the range of R. garritor . The two unregistered paratypes given the temporary designations of sog3 and kam1 have not been identified, either among the unregistered material or those specimens registered since 1987, although the former, based on the prefix, may be from Sogeri. Menzies gave the type data as forest stream, ca 600m, near Eilogo Estate, Sogeri, Central Province, PNG (J.I. Menzies, 24.viii.1969). Holotype and located paratypes a little bleached. Paratype 5365 in poor condition – badly damaged by insects prior to preservation.
