Xenobatrachus multisica Blum & Menzies 1988: 150 View in CoL .
Holotype: UPNG 7405, Eipomek, [Munggona, 1800m, Eipomek Valley fide cards], Papua Province, Indonesia ( J.P. Blum, 1975).
Paratypes: UPNG 5345-47, Eipomek , Papua Province, Indonesia ( W. Schiefenhoevel, 21.xi.1975); 5679-80, same locality ( J. Blum, 24.xi.1976) ; 7401-04, data as for holotype .
Remarks: Type series consists of 25 specimens; other paratypes in AMNH, SAMA, ZSM. Paratype 5679 is a skeleton; 5680 is a cleared-and-stained osteological preparation; 7404-5 are partially dissected. Paratype numbers 7464 and 7466, cited in the description, are in error; these numbers are respectively assigned to a Xenobatrachus bidens and a Litoria thesaurensis , both from Gulf Province. It is not clear what the correct numbers are. Description gave date of collection of the holotype as iv-vi.1976, and the entire type series as from Munggona. Most of the UPNG types are in good condition; 5345 is slightly desiccated.
