Paratypes: PNGM R24965-88 (formerly MCZ 76483-84, 76486-506, 76510-11), Kairuru Island , near Wewak, East Sepik Province, PNG (collector unknown, x.1974) .
Remarks: Type series consists of 424 specimens; holotype in MCZ, other paratypes in AMNH, MCZ. Collection data in PNGM card file are incorrect; based on original MCZ records, the correct data are: PNGM R24965, Kunua, Bougainville Province, PNG (F. Parker, 22.vi.1962); R24966, same locality and collector, but date 11.vii.1962; R24967- 68, same locality and collector, but date 25-30.xii.1962; R24969-88, same locality and collector, but date 12.v-29.vii.1963. PNGM types have suffered from at least one desiccation event but are still moderately supple.
