Holotype: UPNG 5435, near Oiadamawa'a Peak, 1600m, Goodenough Island , Milne Bay Province, PNG ( J.I. Menzies, 29.xii.1975).

Paratype: UPNG 5437, data as for holotype.

Remarks: Type series consists of two specimens; paratype now SAMA R15245 ( Tyler 1990). UPNG 5436, 5438 are identified in the register as paratypes but were not mentioned in the description, which only referred to two specimens. The type locality is a misspelling for Oya Madawa ( Kraus & Allison 2004c). Holotype is faded and somewhat soft, in fair condition.
