Holotype: UPNG 4417, Moiyokabip village , Bultem group, 1200m, 5 o 12'S 141 o 16'E, Western Province, PNG ( J.I. Menzies, 3.iv.1974). GoogleMaps
Paratype: UPNG 4418, same data as holotype.
Remarks: Entire type series of two specimens in UPNG. Menzies gave the date as 29.iv.1972, and (1999: 352) alternatively described the type locality as forest by Moiyok Stream, upper Ok Tedi catchment, 1520m, with same latitude and longitude. The electronic database gives the altitude as 1320m. Specimens in good condition.
