Holotype: UPNG 7192, 2.5km NW of Mt Mengam , 1500m, grid reference CQ062794 View Materials , Madang Province, PNG ( J.I. Menzies, H.F. Hopkins, 25.i.1987).
Paratypes: UPNG 7188-91, 7193-96, data as for holotype.
Remarks: Entire type series of nine specimens in UPNG. Menzies gave the type locality as Mambimap village, 1400m, 4 o 42'S 145 o 16'E, Adelbert Range, Madang Province, PNG (J.I. Menzies, H.F. Hopkins, 25.i.1987), and also (1999: 353), in providing more detail on the type locality, recorded the altitude as 1360m. Type series in good condition.
