Albericus gunnari Menzies 1999: 355 View in CoL .
Holotype: UPNG 5240, Aieme Ck, Central Province , PNG ( J.I. Menzies, 30.v.1975).
Paratypes: UPNG 4148-51, 4153-54, data as for holotype but date 26.xi.1973; 5241-43, data as for holotype.
Remarks: Entire type series of ten specimens in UPNG. Menzies gave the date for the entire series as v.1975, altitude as 450m and coordinates as 9 o 30'S 147 o 37'E, but later (1999: 355), in providing more information on the type locality, gave the coordinates as 9 o 30'S 147 o 16'E. Menzies claimed that Aieme Creek is a tributary of the Musgrave River; it is in fact the local name for the Musgrave River (F. Kraus, pers. obs.). Paratypes 4148-51 are a small undetermined species of Cophixalus , and bear no resemblance to the holotype or other paratypes. The jar label for 4148-51 gives the locality as Ei Creek. Specimens in moderate to good condition.
