Holotype: UPNG 3108, Tari, Southern Highlands Province, PNG ( J. Menzies, 15.xii.1971).
Paratypes: UPNG 2169-70, Nipa, Southern Highlands Province, PNG ( R. Robartson, 1970); 2193-94, Poroma, Southern Highlands Province, PNG (DASF, 1970); 2240, no specific locality, Southern Highlands Province, PNG (DASF, 1970); 3090-102, 3105-07, 3109-11, data as for holotype; 3146-49, Komo, Southern Highlands Province, PNG ( J. Menzies, 15.xii.1971); 5824, Halalinja village , Nipa district, Southern Highlands Province, PNG ( Sillitoe, no date).
Remarks: Type series consists of 32 specimens; remaining paratypes in SAMA. Description gave type locality as Piwa Mission, 1500m, 5 o 51'S 142 o 53'E, near Tari, Southern Highlands Province, PNG (J. Menzies, xii.1971).
