Diagnosis. The forewing length is 15.0 mm in males and 17.5 mm in the female examined. The species is similar to the allopatric A. jiwundu sp. n. and a detailed comparison is provided below in the diagnosis of the latter species.

Distribution. The species is currently known only from Kakamega Forest in western Kenya.
