Generitype of Hemerocallis Linnaeus.

Current name: Hemerocallis lilioasphodelus L. ( Liliaceae / Hemerocallidaceae ).

Note: Specific epithet spelled "Lilio Asphodelus" in the protologue. Bailey (in Gentes Herb. 2: 143. 1930) noted the existence of material at LINN but did not designate a type.
