Current name: Chloris barbata Sw. View in CoL View at ENA ( Poaceae ).
Note: A later homonym of A. barbatus L. (1759) and hence illegitimate. Although Fosberg (in Taxon 25: 325. 1976) argued that A. barbatus L. (1771) is merely a modification of A. barbatus L. (1759) , it seems clear that this is not the case. In Syst. Nat., ed. 13: 759. 1774, both this and the species described in 1759 (though named as A. polydactylos L. (1763) , nom. illeg.) were recognised.
