Male. Body small, black, almost dull, elytra brown-black, mouthparts and posterior margin of abdominal segments reddish brown, tibiae yellow and tarsi brown.
Head ( Fig. 3C View FIGURES 3 ) nearly quadrate, wider than long, sides almost straight and not widened backward, a little narrower than pronotum; eyes small, oval, moderately protruding from lateral outline of head, longitudinal diameter somewhat shorter than postocular area; base deeply and broadly emarginate, posterior angles obviously protruding backward with apices rounded; surface densely covered with umbilicate punctures, with short black pubescence. Antennae ( Fig. 3F View FIGURES 3 ) short and stout, hardly reaching midlength of pronotum, moderately thickened, last segment distinctly longer than wide, almost oval-shaped, ratios of antennomere length (1 to 11) as follows: 40:20:18:21:21:19:21:21:18:31:21:46.
Pronotum nearly horseshoe-shaped and convex, wider than long, wider than head, widest at about anterior two-fifths, anterior margin obliquely emarginate on each side, sides narrowed anteriorly before the widest part; anterior angles obtuse, posterior angles widely rounded; surface densely covered with umbilicate punctures, forming irregular rugae anteriorly, with impunctate, posteriorly broader midline; pubescence similar to that on head. Scutellum triangular, densely covered with black velvety pubescence.
Elytra subquadrate, not dilated posteriad, wider than long, longer and wider than pronotum; sides straight, posterior margin slightly emarginate medially; surface densely covered with umbilicate punctures, covered with dense brownish pubescence.
Abdomen elongate and gradually narrowed posteriad; surface finely and densely punctate, 3–7 th tergites with patches of yellow pubescence laterally, patches gradually decreasing in size towards apex; 8 th tergite ( Fig. 3A View FIGURES 3 ) with symmetrical pubescence towards middle, posterior margin of 8 th sternite ( Fig. 3B View FIGURES 3 ) slightly and shallowly excised medially, with pubescence towards middle, apex of 9 th sternite ( Fig. 3E View FIGURES 3 ) slightly emarginate medially; surface bearing moderately long yellow pubescence. 10 th tergite ( Fig. 3D View FIGURES 3 ) triangular, with long golden pubescence along midline.
Legs robust, with dense yellow pubescence, protarsus strongly dilated, with brownish yellow pubescence.
Aedeagus ( Figs. 3G–I View FIGURES 3 ) symmetrical; with weakly sclerotized middle part and globular basal part, in ventral view, median lobe narrowed in middle, posterior part dilated towards apex; paramere slender, gradually narrowed apicad, almost half as long as median lobe; in lateral view also slightly curved ventrad, paramere large and elongate, apex with two pairs of fine setae.
