Lectotype (Meikle, Fl. Cyprus 2: 1863. 1985): Séguier, Herb. Linn. No. 1211.2 ( LINN) .

Current name: Chrysopogon gryllus (L.) Trin. View in CoL View at ENA ( Poaceae ).

Note: Although Kerguélen (in Lejeunia, n.s., 75: 120. 1975) stated "Type: …LINN”, this is not accepted as a formal typification, for the reasons explained by Cafferty & al. (in Taxon 49: 240. 2000)
