Locus typicus. “Loma Rucilla, Cordillera Central, Dominican Republic …”

Distribution. Dominican Republic ( Fragoso et al. 1995; Fragoso & Brown 2007; Rodríguez et al. 2007); DO, Cordillera Central, La Vega Province, Jarabacoa Municipality, Parque Nacional José Armando Bermúdez, Loma La Rucilla (Site 5, Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ) ( Gates 1957; Reynolds & Reynolds 2001).

Remarks. This species is only known from its type locality in Hispaniola. It has also been reported in Cuba by Rodríguez et al. (2007). This record is based on a later identification of specimens reported from Holguín by Rodríguez Aragonés (1999).
