Type locality: ( Sierra Leone). Lectotype Ô NHMUK010210029 BMNH. Distribution: Australasian-Oceanian ( Australia, Queensland), Afrotropical (widespread), Palearctic ( Mediterranean areas), Nearctic (western USA as introduction). Records from Fiji removed by MacGowan 2014c: 549. Combination by McAlpine 1980: 631. Lectotype designated by J.F. McAlpine by label on specimen pin. Note 24.
