Subspecies: T. n. magnus Wettstein, 1913.
Distribution: Common in rocky caverns and human settlements along the Euphrates Valley and in rocky caverns and hills of Mesopotamia ( Fig. 64 View FIGURE 64 ).
Previous records: Euphrates Valley ( Dobson 1878) [most probably the upper part of the valley in Syria, see Benda et al. (2006)], Kasret Muhammed Ali ( Ebenau 1996), Katir Magara ( Sachanowicz et al. 1999), Katir Magara, Halabiyyeh and Kasret Muhammed Ali (Shehab et al. 2004), es-Salihiyyeh, Ayyash, Halabiyyeh, Qal’at er-Rahba, Zalabiyyeh, Khazneh, ar- Rasafah, ( Benda et al. 2006),Ain Jum’aa, Qal’at er-Rahba, es-Salihiyyeh, and el- Ukersheh ( Shehab et al. 2007).
