Subspecies: M. e. emarginatus (Geoffroy, 1806) .
Distribution: Uncommon; in the mountains west of Aleppo and in the coastal region ( Fig. 69 View FIGURE 69 ).
Previous records: Ras Al-Baseet ( Benda 1996), Qal’at Salah ad-Din, ar-Rawda near Rabi’ah, Ras Al-Baseet, Qal’at Samaan, and Mount Hermon ( Benda et al. 2006), Qal’at Samaan and Qal’at Salah ad-Din ( Shehab et al. 2007).
Remarks: The taxonomy of this species was recently revised by Benda & Uvizl (2021).
