Subspecies: E. b. hingstoni Thomas, 1919.
Distribution: Common in arid areas; confined to the rocky terrain and crevices along the Euphrates Valley, at Palmyra, and in the hills of Mesopotamia ( Fig. 74 View FIGURE 74 ).
Previous records: Qater Maghara ( Ebenau 1996, Shehab et al. 2004), es-Salihiyyeh, Halabiyyeh, Sbeikhan, Zalabiyyeh, Balis, Khazneh and er-Rasafah ( Benda et al. 2006), Qal’at er-Rahba, Halabiyyeh, er- Rasafah, Palmyra, and Qal’at Fakhr ad-Din Al-Maani ( Shehab et al. 2007).
Recent record: ar-Raqqa (2021).
