Distribution: Confined to Yarmouk Valley ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 8 ).
Previous records: Mzeirib ( Shehab et al. 2018).
Recent records: Koayah and Zaizoun (2010).
Remarks: An exotic rodent introduced from South America into the Jordan River in the early 1950’s ( Bodenheimer 1958); established along the Jordan River to the Yarmouk Valley, where it is common.
