Distribution: Probably widespread but known with certainty only from Homs, Al-Qaryatein, and Damascus ( Kryštufek et al. 2013) ( Fig. 13 View FIGURE 13 ).
Previous records: Homs, Al-Qaryatein, and Damascus ( Kryštufek et al. 2013).
Remarks: S. aulacotis is a sister taxon to S. williamsi but not to S. euphraticus ( Kryštufek et al. 2013) .
