Subspecies: C. l. judaica Thomas, 1919.
Distribution: Uncertain status but apparently rare ( Fig. 50 View FIGURE 50 ).
Previous records: Known largely from owl pellets collected from north of Idleb, Qal’at Al-Hosson, retrieved from several archaeological sites along the Syrian coast ( Shehab 2002).
Recent record: ash-Sheikh Badr (2019).
