Subspecies: M. c. charon Thomas, 1919.
Distribution: Uncommon but has a wide distribution along the Euphrates Valley and Mesopotamia ( Fig. 31 View FIGURE 31 ).
Previous records: Bir Umm Uqairiba ( Kock et al. 1994), es-Salihiyye, Kal’at er-Rahba, Tell Sheikh Hamad, Tell Al-Buderi and 8 km west of Lake Al-Khatuniyah (Buhayrat Al Khatuniyah), Halabiyyeh and Katir Magara ( Kock 1998), and ar- Rasafah (Shehab et al. 2004).
