Description. Body slender. Body coloration light yellow ( Fig. 2-A View FIGURE 2 ). Crown width except eyes longer than length. Pronotum light yellow, width similar head includes eyes. Mesonotum with large bright triangles and hazy dark vertical line in middle margin. Frontoclypeus and anteclypeus light yellow, labrum dark brown and well developed extended to coxa of second legs ( Fig. 2-B View FIGURE 2 ). Thorax yellow and legs whitish yellow. Forewings and hindwings translucent without spot or pattern. Abdomen light yellow in dorsal view, yellow in ventral view.
Male abdominal apodemes long and wide, extended to end of sternite VI ( Fig. 2-C View FIGURE 2 ).
Male genitalia. Pygofer lobe rounded with angle at anterolateral margin and irregularly micro spins. Pygofer lobe with three macrosetae at base and ca. six macrosetae on anterior margin ( Fig. 2-F View FIGURE 2 ). Subgenital plate long with one macrosetae at basal margin and several microsetae along lateral margin ( Fig. 2-I View FIGURE 2 ). Style long and gradually curved with several microsetae on interior margin and some follicles on exterior margin ( Fig. 2-G View FIGURE 2 ). Connective with arms and well-developed stem; median anterior lobe slenter( Fig. 2-H View FIGURE 2 ). Aedeagus with two pairs of at apex; preapical process bifurcated. apical process long and nearly straight in caudal view, preapical process shorter than apical process and straight in caudal view, branch of preapical process shortest and thin in caudal view ( Fig. 2-D View FIGURE 2 ). Aedeagus slender and strongly curved with all processes extended upward in lateral view ( Fig. 2-E View FIGURE 2 ).
Measurements. Male 3.23mm.
Specimens examined. Holotype: [ KNA] ♂, Korea National Arboretum , Soheul-eup , Pocheon-si, Gyeonggido, Korea, 15. ⅴ i. 2015, Malaise trap.
Host plants. Unknown.
Distributions. Korea.
Remarks. This new species is similar to E. plebeja (Edwards, 1914) ( Mitjaev, 1963) , but differs as follows: 1) second process of aedeagus straight in caudal view; 2) pygofer lobe with fewer bristles at basal margin. This species is also similar to E. corylicola Vlibaste, 1968 , but differs as follows; 1) male abdominal apodemes extended to posterior margin of sternite VI; 2) first process of aedeagus longest in caudal view.
Etymology. The specific name is derived from the Latin adjective “directa ” (straight), which refers to the character of the first and second processes of the aedeagus in caudal view ( Fig 2-D View FIGURE 2 ).
